Searching Archives and Special Collections: How to filter search results

On the results page, one can use the filter panel on the right side to further limit and refine search results.

Filtering options include record type, subject, language, and name.

Two useful choices under Type are "Archival Object" and Collection".

"Archival Object" will give a list of individual series, folders, or items which contain the search term.

"Collection" will filter results to a list of relevant archival collections.

One can also use the search bar at the top of the filter panel to create additional searches.
