Mapping Tools
- StoryMap JS
- Free, easy-to-use, web-based tool for connecting maps with text and media to tell stories. For an example digital map using StoryMap JS, see this map of historic buildings at Franklin and Marshall College.
- Google My Maps
- Easily add locations with text and images to a map. Further customize your map with options to style location markers and add map layers.
- ArcGIS
- For more complicated mapping projects, the library provides access to ArcGIS in SparkSpace. Find out more about using ArcGIS in Lynda.com's ArcGIS Essential Training videos.
F&M Project
Mapping Italian Narratives is a Digital Humanities project created by Professor Arianna Fognani's Italians Abroad class spring 2017. Maps were created using StoryMap JS and embedded in a Google Site.
