Accessing the Libraries

There are two libraries at F&M: Shadek-Fackenthal Library and the Martin Library of the Sciences

  • Shadek-Fackenthal Library is located near Old Main (it's the large building with the white columns out front). Shad, as it's called on campus, is the humanities library. It has books to check out, including our Browsing collection, DVDs, reservable study rooms, general study space, two library classrooms, and a makerspace that all students can use.
  • Martin Library of the Sciences is located on the other side of campus, near the Mayser gym. Martin, as it's called, has books in the sciences, as well as reservable study rooms, Archives and Special Collections, and general study space.

You can access online resources from anywhere on campus through the library website at https://library.fandm.edu. For a complete list of databases, please use the A-Z Databases list.
