VISUAL RESOURCES

Finding Images on the Web

Finding Images on the Web: An Annotated Guide to Multidisciplinary Resources includes F&M's subscription image databases, as well as an extensive curated list - organized by discipline - of other excellent resources. Suggestions for additions to the guide are welcome; please email Louise Kulp.

Visual Resources in Scholars Square

Visual resources are represented in several collections in Scholars Square, F&M's institutional repository of the intellectual and creative output of the college. Look for images within the College Library and Phillips Museum of Art sections, among others.

ARTstor

ARTstor is a nonprofit digital library of more than one million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences with a suite of software tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes. Access is restricted to current F&M students, faculty, and staff.

Slide Library

F&M's Slide Library, housed in the Department of Art and Art History, is a teaching collection of more than 100,000 35mm slides. Holdings represent world art, architecture, decorative art, and material culture, prehistory to contemporary. Please contact Mike Horn for more information.
