This is a scholarly encyclopedia, with lengthy articles on all aspects of life during the Middle Ages. Most of the articles include a brief bibliography. Volume 13 is a comprehensive index to the entire set. Consult this volume for subject areas “England...” and “English...”

Includes chapters detailing government and politics, the economy, society, and culture during the Medival period. There is a separate bibliography and a detailed index.

The Oxford Illustrated History of the British Monarchy

Features chapters discussing the nature of the monarchy in general, with detailed descriptions of each rules. There is a separate bibliography and a detailed index.

The London Encyclopedia

“Contains a record of London’s streets and buildings, people and events.” (Preface) Includes an index of people, plus a general index.

A collection of abstracts and articles from over 100 scholarly journals, many dating from the nineteenth-century to the last 4 or 5 years.
