How to find journal and newspaper articles

Available from the Library web page under Articles - A to Z List. Browse the entire list to find databases relevant to your particular topic. The databases listed below are most likely to be useful.

Social Sciences Full Text: Indexes over 300 English-language periodicals covering anthropology, economics, psychology, social work, sociology, and related fields. Covers 1983 to the present.
Sociological Abstracts: Full version comprehensive database of over 1500 journals covering sociology, social work, and other social sciences. Covers 1963 to the present.
Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science): Key index to articles from major journals in all areas of the social sciences. Use to find other articles citing a specific article (footnotes in reverse). Covers 1970 to the present.
JStor: A collection of abstracts and articles from over 100 scholarly journals, many dating from the nineteenth-century to the last 4 or 5 years. Choose PRINT from within JStor to print articles at proper margin settings. You may need to go to SET PREFERENCES to select desired Printing preferences. Choose PDF: Economy. Call the Reference Desk (x4217) or Ask Andy for assistance.
Project Muse: Searchable access to scholarly journals in the arts and humanities, social sciences, sciences and mathematics.
