Dear Father
W are now in short distance of a brig which presume is bound
to the U. S. I being below did not know he was in sight until just now –
I hear the 1st hail so I have not much time.
I am quite well and have been so all the voyage but a few
days sea sickness at first. I like
the life very well, we shall make the C D IslS in a few days. I shall send you a long letter very
soon.
My
love to all of you
Your
affectionate Son
