My dear Sisters,

Your letters have been rec'd one from Ellie, one from Janie, and one from Becky.  I have not had time to write much since we are very busy tho’ deep in the mud and snow.  Tell Becky I wrote Ed McPherson about Will and learned that I have not been sick of any account.  I send you two engravings which were sent as samples to induce me to lend my Phiz. to the Speculation in getting up a Book of Gen'ls but I did not see it.

Sam wrote me that (he) is an applicant for a Paymaster branch in the Army.  I hope he may get it.

With love to all, and I hope to be able to move on to Phila. next week but am not certain when.  I am glad the Meades called.  Gen'l M is in Phila now and I am waiting his return.

Your affectionate Brother,

John F. Reynolds
