My dear Sister,

I sent you last week Sam's cheque for $56 82/100.  If you have not rec'd it yet, you had better have the payment stopped.  It was payable to Harry's order.

We are getting ready to march but as to the particular time of our movement nothing is known.  It has snowed again today and the roads are, of course, not improved by it.  Let me hear about the cheque at once.

Love to all believe me.

Your affectionate Brother
