Commanders of the
U.S. troops and stations will permit the bearer, James L. Reynolds of
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to pass to Florence, South Carolina, and return
therefrom, to visit a sick friend, Mr. William Coleman, represented as
lying seriously ill at that point; and this permission will include Mr. Coleman
and family, should they decide to accompany Mr. Reynolds to the North.
