Philadelphia, Feby. 3rd 1863
Sir:
My
friend Vaux informs me that you are a brother of Maj. Genl. J.F. Reynolds, and
I have taken the liberty of asking you to furnish me with an impression of
the seal of his native county.
I am getting up a sword for the Penna. Reserves who intend it for a
surprise to your brother. If
there is anything appropriate in the seal of his county I design having it
placed under the coat of arms of the state. If you can furnish me with the impression of the seal you
will much oblige me.
Yours Respectfully
Joseph A. Woodward
